We do not store, view, sell, or manually access the images you select in the tool. Once you leave the page or clear your browser session, the temporary browser-generated image preview and cleaned file links are removed by your browser.

3. Local browser storage

The website may use local browser storage to remember your tool settings, such as output format, image quality, batch limit, randomised filename preference, and preview visibility. This information stays in your browser and is used only to make the tool easier to use.

4. Metadata removal limits

Gorilla Image Cleaner is designed to remove common embedded image metadata by recreating a clean downloadable copy of the image. It should not be treated as forensic-grade metadata removal. If you are handling highly sensitive files, you should verify the cleaned image with a dedicated metadata inspection tool.
